Six Army Personnel Injured in Landmine Explosion in Rajouri District

Jammu, Jan 14: Six Army personnel were injured on Tuesday due to a landmine explosion in a forward village located in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred when one of the soldiers accidentally triggered a landmine while on patrol duty near Khamba Fort in the Nowshera sector at approximately 10:45 AM.

The injured soldiers were quickly transported to a hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable. Officials noted that landmines are part of an anti-infiltration obstacle system in forward areas near the Line of Control, and rains occasionally displace these mines, leading to such accidents.
