JAMMU, Jan 27: In a significant move under the 7th Pay Commission
framework, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has revised the
Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees, increasing it from 50% to
53% of the basic pay. The hike will be effective retrospectively from
July 1, 2024.
According to the official order, arrears for the enhanced DA
installment, covering the period from July to December 2024, will be
disbursed in cash along with the February 2025 salary. From January
2025 onwards, the revised DA will be incorporated into the monthly
salary structure.
