J&K Police Seize Properties of Five Hizbul Terrorists Operating from PoJK

Banihal/Jammu, Feb 28: In a major crackdown on terror financing, Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized immovable properties belonging to five Hizbul Mujahideen operatives in Ramban district, an official spokesperson said on Friday.

The five terrorists—Saraj Din, Reyaz Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed, Mohd Ashraf, and Mushtaq Ahmed—are all residents of the Gool area and had crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) to undergo arms training. Intelligence reports suggested that they were attempting to sell their properties in J&K to fund militant activities and recruit local youth into militancy.

Authorities have now issued seizure orders, preventing any sale, lease, or transaction of these properties without police approval. Officials stated that this move is a decisive step in dismantling terror networks and preventing Hizbul Mujahideen from regaining influence in the region.

“This action sends a clear message to terrorists hiding in PoJK: their attempts to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir will not be tolerated,” the spokesperson added.

Security forces have intensified their crackdown on terror funding, overground worker networks, and cross-border militancy, significantly weakening the terrorist ecosystem in recent years. The latest property seizures align with the government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
