POONCH, July 27: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, on Saturday visited key yatra sites to finalize preparations for the upcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, ASP Poonch, Tehsildar Haveli, and other officials from line departments, the DC conducted an extensive inspection of the College Ground (Base Camp), accommodation points, and other vital locations.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed crucial arrangements including power and water supply, sanitation, toilets, security, lodging, parking, and langer (community kitchen) services. He appreciated the proactive efforts of the organising committee and various departments in ensuring timely readiness.
On-the-spot directions were issued to fill remaining gaps and guarantee uninterrupted services throughout the Yatra period. The DC stressed the importance of seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure a safe and smooth experience for devotees arriving from across the country.
Officials assured full support in maintaining top-notch facilities at all major sites including the Poonch Base Camp, Dashnami Akhara, and Mandi Mandir.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to making this sacred pilgrimage spiritually enriching and hassle-free for all pilgrims.
