Jammu, Oct 3: The Indian Army apprehended a suspected Pakistani woman in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district and handed her over to the police for further investigation, officials said on Friday.
According to officials, alert Army troops deployed in the Lam sector noticed suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC) and intercepted a woman in the forward area. She was subsequently taken into custody for questioning.
The woman has been identified as Samiya Azeem (17), daughter of Mohammad Azeem and a resident of Khuiretta in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
Officials said that after preliminary questioning, the Army handed her over to the Nowshera Police for further investigation and verification of her claims.
