Jammu, December 31: The Special Crime Wing (SCW) of the Crime Branch, Jammu, has successfully filed chargesheets in two intricate fraud cases, marking a significant step towards justice. These cases, involving forgery and betrayal, have been presented to the Hon’ble Courts for judicial review and determination.
Providing details, SSP SCW Jammu, Sanjay Parihar, disclosed that one case involves the manipulation of a date of birth certificate to secure a government job under SRO-43. The other highlights a shocking breach of trust, where a husband illicitly withdrew ₹11,35,785 from his wife’s account without her consent.
In the first case, the accused colluded with the then CEO Jammu and others to fabricate a false date of birth certificate, enabling a juvenile beneficiary to secure a government job in the PHE Department in 1997. Investigations, led by DySP Anita Kattal, meticulously unraveled the scheme, culminating in the chargesheet being filed before the Hon’ble Railway Court.
The second case underscores a disturbing act of fraud within a marital relationship. The accused husband manipulated and withdrew a significant sum from his wife’s account without her knowledge. Inspector Kali Charan, leading the investigation, built a strong case against the accused, with the chargesheet submitted to the Hon’ble City Judge’s Court yesterday.
SSP Parihar commended the rigorous efforts of the investigating officers, emphasizing the SCW’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring accountability in cases of fraud and deception.
The Crime Branch remains resolute in its mission to protect public interests and bring perpetrators of financial and legal wrongdoing to justice, reinforcing trust in law enforcement.
