Jammu, Apr 11: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today addressed the inaugural ceremony of ‘Ayodhya Parv-2025’, a three-day cultural celebration organised in New Delhi by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), Shri Ayodhya Nyas, and Pragya Sansthan.
The event was graced by Mahant Shri Kamal Nayan Das Ji of Maniramdas Chhawani, Geeta Manishi Mahamandaleshwar Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj, Padma Shri Vasudev Kamath, IGNCA Chairman Ram Bahadur Rai, former MP Lallu Singh, and heads of several religious and cultural organisations.
Extending his greetings to the organisers and participants, the Lieutenant Governor hailed Ayodhya as much more than a geographic location—calling it the “cradle of spirituality, good governance and rich culture.”
“Ayodhya is not just a place; it is our identity, a symbol of unity, and a sacred pilgrimage. It is spiritual resonance, the key to awakening, and the energy and life force of our society,” said Sinha.
Highlighting Ayodhya’s role as the “soft power of ancient India,” the LG said the city has historically contributed to the spread of spiritual values, folk traditions, and cultural diplomacy, connecting civilizations across Asia, including in Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
“I see Ayodhya as the Moral Compass of India. With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, its energy and progressive ideals will continue guiding us in building a welfare state while preserving our soul,” the LG remarked.
He further emphasized Ayodhya’s profound impact on art, literature, music, and theatre, calling it a “cultural magnet” that boosted India’s spiritual influence.
Invoking Lord Ram’s ideals of righteousness, justice, compassion, and leadership, the LG noted that these values are shaping India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat, especially during challenging global times.
“Development must be inclusive, and our focus should be on ensuring equal opportunities for the weaker sections. Our ancient traditions and spiritual heritage will provide strength and resilience to our society,” he added.
The three-day ‘Ayodhya Parv’ serves as a unique confluence of devotion, classical traditions, and
intellectual dialogue, drawing saints, scholars, policymakers, and artists from across the country.
On the occasion, several publications were also released, including Santon Mein Dhruv Tare, Chaurasi Kos Ki Ayodhya, An Eternal Hero: Ram, Warriors of Kurukshetra, and Bharat Bodh Patrika.
