Srinagar, April 20, 2025: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Nalin Prabhat, IPS, concluded a comprehensive two-day tour of the South Kashmir Range to assess and review the operational preparedness of police and security forces in the region.
The review covered individual assessments of Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Awantipora districts. The DGP also visited forward operational posts at Aripal and the Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Tral, where he evaluated on-ground readiness and coordination among units.
During the visit, the DGP stressed the need for further strengthening the security grid and enhancing synergy between various security agencies. He underlined the importance of proactive strategies, community outreach, and people-friendly policing in preserving peace and ensuring effective counter-terrorism operations.
Sh. Prabhat appreciated the efforts of personnel deployed in the region and reiterated the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order while ensuring public trust and safety.
