JAMMU, Feb 7: Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar, chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Maha Shivratri Mela at Shri Shiv Khori Shrine in Ransoo, Reasi. The meeting also assessed the progress of ongoing development projects aimed at enhancing facilities for devotees.
Officials from the Tourism Department, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, BRO, JSW, and other concerned authorities attended the meeting in person and through virtual mode.
The Divisional Commissioner reviewed the year-wise and month-wise footfall data of devotees and the arrangements made in the previous year. Emphasizing the need for seamless arrangements, he directed the Deputy Commissioner Reasi to ensure that Maha Shivratri Mela 2025 offers a spiritually enriching and well-organized experience for visitors.
Key directives included:
Illumination, sanitation, and maintenance of tracks for a smooth pilgrimage experience.
Provision of essential amenities such as drinking water, power supply, seating areas, and a well-managed queue system.
Detailed planning for Shobha Yatra, Bhajan Sandhya, and other religious activities.
The meeting also reviewed the status of infrastructure projects at the shrine, including construction of public utilities, Ghats, food kiosks, rain shelters, and helipad facilities at Shiv Khori and Katra.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed the timely completion of these projects to improve pilgrim comfort and overall shrine infrastructure.
