Education becoming a bridge of unity and innovation, says J&K Lieutenant Governor
SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the Dream School Project has helped bridge the emotional and educational distance between Kashmir and Kerala, turning classrooms into spaces of shared learning, innovation, and hope.
“The initiative has ended the distance between Kerala and Kashmir. It has brought the two regions closer, introducing new ideas, aspirations, and learning models to our classrooms,” the LG said while addressing an event in Srinagar.
The Dream School Project was conceptualised following an MoU signed on March 27, 2023, between the School Education Department and the Faizal and Shabana Foundation, which has played a key role in implementing the vision to modernise government schools and connect students with emerging models of learning.
Sinha said the administration is committed to transforming the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir and remains open to collaborations — including with partners from the UAE — to bring global standards and exposure into the region’s learning ecosystem.
“The future belongs to those who dare to dream big,” Sinha remarked, underscoring the government’s focus on vocational education. “Thousands of schools in J&K are already setting up vocational labs to prepare students for the future. Vocational education will play a crucial role in the coming years.”
Emphasising the central role of youth in shaping the region’s progress, the LG added, “J&K’s destiny lies in the hands of its youth. Their creativity, courage, and imagination will define the region’s development. Think big, dream bigger, and take bold steps in your educational journey.”
