Udhampur: Stepping up its crackdown on terror networks, Udhampur Police have detained another hardcore terror associate under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA). This marks the fifth such detention from Basantgarh as part of the ongoing effort to curb terrorism in the region.
The accused has been identified as Mohd. Rafiq, son of Mohd. Qasim, a resident of Balota Chigla in Basantgarh. According to police, Rafiq has been involved in multiple terror-related activities and served as an active guide and facilitator for terrorist organizations prior to his arrest.
Given his activities and potential threat to public safety, authorities issued an order for his detention under the stringent PSA. Rafiq has since been lodged in jail, ensuring his removal from the network of terror operations in the district.
The Udhampur Police’s consistent action against terror supporters underscores their commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace in the region.
