Jammu, Sept 18: The Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men) Tournament 2025–26, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, has entered its semi-final stage after four days of high-octane matches that showcased the spirit and intensity of the sport.
Day Four saw a series of thrilling encounters where teams displayed skill, speed, and tactical brilliance:
- GDC Kathua outclassed GDC Doda by 17 points.
- PG Department, University of Jammu overcame GDC Chenani by 10 points.
- GDC Bhaderwah edged past GDC Reasi by 05 points.
- MIET College defeated GCET by 04 points.
With these results, the semi-final line-up is now complete. The semi-final and final matches are scheduled for tomorrow, promising an electrifying finish to the prestigious tournament.
The championship is being conducted under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, with strong emphasis on fair play, discipline, and organizational excellence.
A technical panel comprising Anil Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Raki Sharma, and Gagan Kumar has been officiating the matches, ensuring adherence to the rules and smooth conduct of the event.
The upcoming finale is expected to draw wide attention as the best teams battle for the coveted title, keeping alive the rich sporting tradition of kabaddi in the region.
