Akhnoor, Oct 30: In a spirited tribute to the “Iron Man of India,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police today organised a grand function and debate competition at Government Higher Secondary School, Sohal, Akhnoor, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Held under the directions of DPO Jammu, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who delivered powerful and emotional speeches on Sardar Patel’s leadership, vision, and monumental role in uniting the nation.
The theme of Rashtriya Ekta (National Unity) and Unity in Diversity remained at the heart of the celebration, with students expressing their admiration for Patel’s unmatched contribution to India’s integrity.
Addressing the gathering, SHO Police Station Akhnoor spoke about Sardar Patel’s inspiring journey and urged students to imbibe his values of courage, honesty, and service to the nation.
The event concluded amid loud applause and patriotic zeal, with students and staff taking a collective pledge to uphold the spirit of unity that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel devoted his life to.
