JKSSB Defers Naib Tehsildar Recruitment After Tribunal Stays ‘Urdu-Only’ Rule

Jammu, July 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has deferred the recruitment process for Naib Tehsildar posts in the Revenue Department until further orders.

Officials said the decision follows a stay order issued by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu on July 14, which put on hold the government’s directive making knowledge of Urdu mandatory for candidates applying to the posts.

Further updates regarding the recruitment process will be issued by the JKSSB after the tribunal’s final decision.
