Jodhamal Hosts First Ever F1 in Schools Regional Finals in Jammu Kashmir– A Celebration of Speed, Science, and Teamwork

Jammu, July 20: Jodhamal Public School roared to life on Sunday with the high-octane energy of the F1 in Schools Regional Finals 2025, a flagship event that blended speed, science, and student innovation into one electrifying showcase. Held under the banner of the internationally acclaimed F1 in Schools STEM Challenge, the competition marked a significant leap in experiential learning and engineering excellence at the school level.

A total of eight teams—comprising 46 budding innovators—competed in the regional rounds that tested technical finesse, creative design, and strategic execution. From designing miniature F1 cars using CAD/CAM software to understanding aerodynamics and precision engineering, students were immersed in a real-world simulation of automotive innovation.

The special guests and judges—distinguished faculty from IIT Jammu including Ms. Kirti Mathuria, Ms. Ritu, Mr. Ajay Singh, Mr. Rahul, Mr. Biswanath Chakraborty, and Dr. Rajkumar—brought deep technical insight to the competition. Their presence elevated the event, as they closely evaluated the projects and lauded the students for their exceptional problem-solving abilities, scientific temperament, and team synergy.

The participants showcased their skills across multiple rounds—Pit DisplayTeam Identity, and Engineering Design Review—culminating in a high-speed knockout racing challenge. The racetrack buzzed with excitement as team-built miniature cars zipped past in thrilling time trials and head-to-head battles.

Among the competing teams were:
VeerVajra RacingInferno RacingVelocious RacingStratos RacingAlpha RacingTurbo RacingBerserk Racing, and Caelestis Racing. Each team demonstrated not only technical excellence but also leadership, communication, and collaborative planning.

The event was envisioned and led by the school’s Headmistress, Mrs. Neetu Johri, supported by her dynamic team. At the concluding award ceremony, winners were felicitated amidst loud cheers and applause.

Jodhamal Public School, long known for its pioneering Innovation Hub, has nurtured students who have earned Indian and British patents and received accolades from NASA, ISRO, MIT, and Caltech. One such innovator was also conferred the Pradhan Mantri Bal Puruskar by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

Speaking on the occasion, School Trustee Mr. Nandan Kuthiala and Director Ms. Arati Kuthiala emphasized that Jodhamal’s mission is to empower students to engineer their dreams into reality. “Events like F1 in Schools are not just competitions—they’re platforms for transformation,” they noted.

Principal Dr. Deep Khare and Vice Principal Ms. Amita Arora highlighted the competition’s broader impact. “It’s a fusion of science, creativity, and enterprise. Our students emerged not only as future engineers but also as confident communicators and team players.”

As Jodhamal continues to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical innovation, the F1 in Schools challenge stands out as a model for how education can be both rigorous and exhilarating—preparing students to race ahead in a world driven by STEM.
