SRINAGAR, Sept 4: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Thursday appealed to people not to panic amid flood concerns and urged them to rely only on official advisories issued by the administration.
“People need not worry. We must avoid rumours and follow the official instructions,” Garg told reporters in Srinagar.
On the status of essential services, he assured that there is no shortage of supplies in the Valley.
“We have ample stock of essential commodities. Fortunately, communication services are working smoothly. Telecom, water, and electricity are running without disruption,” he said.
Garg further added that administration teams are deployed on the ground wherever required.
“Follow advisories and, in case of emergency, people should call the helpline numbers provided. Assistance will reach immediately,” the Div Com said.
