Jammu, Jan 6: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday hailed the connection of Kashmir with Kanyakumari through the railway network as a long-cherished dream turned into reality.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new Jammu Railway Division, LG Sinha lauded the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for delivering on the aspirations of the people within set timelines. “The rail connectivity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari marks yet another landmark achievement,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their focused efforts and special attention toward Jammu and Kashmir’s development.
“Vande Bharat trains are not only transforming the travel experience but are also set to extend their journey to Kashmir, heralding a new era of connectivity and growth,” Sinha noted. He further stated that Jammu is poised to emerge as one of the finest railway stations globally, with more transformative developments on the horizon.
