Kashmiri Pandits Integral to Jammu and Kashmir’s Culture: Deputy CM

: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary reaffirmed the pivotal role of Kashmiri Pandits in the cultural and social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to their dignified rehabilitation.

Addressing a gathering during his visit to Jagti Township in Nagrota, the Deputy CM underlined the administration’s focus on addressing the concerns of the Kashmiri Pandit community. “Efforts are being intensified to provide a better quality of life for the residents of Jagti Township and Kashmiri migrants at large. Our commitment to their rehabilitation is resolute,” he stated.

Accompanied by senior officials, including the Relief Commissioner (Migrants), Director Health Services Jammu, Director General Floriculture, and Director Food Supplies Jammu, the Deputy CM undertook a comprehensive review of the township’s facilities.

During his inspection, he assessed the status of essential services such as healthcare, education, and water supply, ensuring their adequacy for the residents. At the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Jagti, the Deputy CM directed the Director Health Services to guarantee uninterrupted, high-quality medical care, stressing the importance of maintaining an adequate supply of medicines and upgrading hospital infrastructure to meet patient needs effectively.

Choudhary also instructed officials to expedite the redressal of grievances raised by the residents, highlighting the administration’s proactive approach to enhancing their living conditions.

The Deputy CM’s visit underscores the government’s resolve to bolster support for the Kashmiri Pandit community, ensuring their well-being through targeted initiatives and a robust support system.
