LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Condemn Terrorist Attack in Kulgam

Srinagar, Feb 03: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the death of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and injuries to two of his family members.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his outrage, paying homage to Wagay, who was martyred in the attack. He stated, “I strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and his family in Kulgam. The entire nation stands in solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. I have instructed officials to provide the best possible treatment to the injured, and I am praying for their speedy recovery. I assure the people that the perpetrators of this cowardly attack will be punished soon.”

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the attack, expressing heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and praying for the swift recovery of the injured. He added, “Such heinous violence has no place in our society and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.” The Office of the Chief Minister, J&K, shared on the micro-blogging site X, “Deeply saddened by the tragic killing of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay in Kulgam. My heartfelt condolences to his family, and prayers for the swift recovery of his injured wife and daughter. Such heinous violence has no place in our society and must be condemned in the strongest terms. May peace and justice prevail.”
