Lieutenant Governor Interacts with Youth from Border Area Exchange Programme

JAMMU, Jan 19: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today engaged with youth participants from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, who are on a five-day visit to Jammu as part of the Border Area Youth Exchange Programme (BAYEP). The initiative, organized under the aegis of NYKS-MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, aims to foster awareness and connection among youth through exposure to border regions.

During the interaction at Raj Bhawan, the participants shared their experiences from their visits to the border areas of Jammu, reflecting on the unique insights they gained.

Extending his best wishes to the youth for their future endeavors, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to play an active role in the socio-economic progress of the nation and contribute to the realization of the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the development of border infrastructure and the welfare of residents in these regions, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the significance of such initiatives in empowering youth and strengthening national unity.

Shri Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) for J&K and Ladakh, along with officials and volunteers of NYKS, were also present during the interaction.
