Omar Abdullah Chairs Cabinet Meet in Jammu, Reviews Projects and Governance Priorities

JAMMU, Dec 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday chaired a Cabinet meeting in Jammu to review key administrative and developmental issues, with a focus on accelerating governance reforms and public welfare initiatives.

Sources said the meeting undertook a comprehensive review of ongoing projects across departments and deliberated on time-bound proposals aimed at improving administrative efficiency. The status of major developmental works was assessed, and measures were discussed to fast-track schemes facing implementation delays.

According to official inputs, the Cabinet also examined administrative approvals required for upcoming initiatives planned in various districts of the Union Territory, with an emphasis on ensuring timely execution and optimal resource utilisation.

During the meeting, ministers briefed the Chief Minister on department-wise performance, key challenges and progress achieved under ongoing programmes. The deliberations largely centred on strengthening institutional mechanisms, enhancing service delivery and expediting public infrastructure projects to meet set timelines.
