Jammu, Jul 15: In a heartwarming gesture of honesty and dedication, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu recovered a handbag containing ₹2.25 lakh in cash and returned it to its rightful owner—Sushil Bhise, a resident of Pune, Maharashtra.
Bhise, overwhelmed with emotion, broke down in tears upon receiving the recovered bag. “I had lost all hope… but GRP Jammu brought back not just my money, but my faith,” he said while thanking the officials profusely.
The incident highlights the integrity and swift response of GRP personnel, who traced the owner and ensured the safe handover of the lost belongings after proper verification. Their commendable action has earned widespread appreciation.
