Rana Reviews SANJY-2025 Arrangements at Manigam, Baltal, and Domail Camps

GANDERBAL, June 29: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Saturday conducted a comprehensive inspection of arrangements along the Baltal axis for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY)-2025.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Camp Officers and senior officials from relevant departments, the Minister visited the transit camp at Manigam, Baltal base camp and Domail camp to assess ongoing preparations.

Rana directed officials to ensure regular water quality testing and immediate corrective measures wherever required. He stressed the importance of uninterrupted water supply, particularly for community kitchens, toilets, huts, and livestock, and instructed that water tankers be kept on standby to handle peak demand.

The Minister also reviewed arrangements for firewood supply, flood protection measures and adequate deployment of staff. Emphasising coordinated efforts among all stakeholders, he urged that arrangements be finalised well before the pilgrimage commences.

Rana commended the efforts of the Jal Shakti and Forest departments for executing works in time and reiterated the commitment of the government, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to ensure a safe, peaceful and memorable Yatra for devotees from across India and abroad.

He was accompanied by the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir; Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Kashmir; DFO Ganderbal; Superintending Engineer; Executive Engineer and other senior officials.
