Scheduled Power Shutdown Announced by KPDCL for Maintenance Work

Srinagar, Jan 14: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced several scheduled power shutdowns across various areas to carry out essential maintenance, upgrades, and testing of electrical infrastructure. These shutdowns are necessary for tasks such as the augmentation of conductors, dismantling of HT poles, stabilization of power lines, and testing of equipment.

On January 16 and 18, the 33KV Nehalpora-Markundal line will undergo upgrades, affecting power supply to Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal, Ankhul, and Gundboon areas between 10:00 AM and 03:00 PM. On January 15, there will be a shutdown of the 33KV Rawalpora-Chanapora Bone & Joint line, impacting power supply to Chanapora, Natipora, and B&J Baghat from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM.

Additionally, the 33KV Rawalpora Bagh-i-Mehtab line will be shut down on January 15 from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM, affecting Bagh-i-Mehtab, Kralpora, and Gopalpora areas. On January 18, the 33KV Budgam SIDCO line will undergo testing, leading to power outages in Budgam, Ompora Housing Colony, Sebdan, Jawalapora, and JNV areas from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Power interruptions will also be experienced in Seer, Rohama, Chakloo, Ajas, and several other areas as KPDCL undertakes the required maintenance work. The corporation has urged residents to prepare for these outages and appreciates their patience during these important infrastructure upgrades
