Jammu, Sept 30: The Directorate of School Education Jammu on Monday notified revised timings for government and private schools across the division.
According to the order, schools in the Summer Zone will function from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in October. From November, the schedule will shift by half an hour, with classes running from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
However, schools located within the Jammu Municipal Corporation limits and nearby urban areas will continue to follow the 9:00 am to 3:00 pm timing without any change.
For schools in the Winter Zone, the order states that new timings of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm will come into effect from October 1.
The Directorate has cautioned all institutions against violating the order, warning that strict action will be taken against any deviations.
