JAMMU, Jan 17: Security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kathua district’s Billawar area on Friday, following intelligence reports suggesting the presence of terrorists.
In a joint operation, special forces of the Army, in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), initiated the CASO to locate and neutralize the suspected militants.
The area has been cordoned off, with security forces conducting extensive searches. Local residents have been advised to stay indoors and cooperate with authorities during the operation.
Additional reinforcements have been deployed to assist in tracking down the terrorists, and the search operation is ongoing.
