Leh, Oct 7: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, on Monday reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, public welfare, and inclusive development, while steering Ladakh towards becoming a model of sustainable and self-reliant growth.
Chairing a high-level review meeting in Leh, the Lt Governor took stock of the overall situation in the Union Territory, including law and order, essential services, and public welfare measures. He commended the district administration, police, and security agencies for their coordinated efforts in maintaining harmony and normalcy across the region.
In light of the improving situation and positive public response, the Lt Governor directed officials to ease certain restrictions in a phased and calibrated manner, ensuring that peace and order remain intact. He underlined that public cooperation and responsible behavior had played a crucial role in the restoration of normalcy.
Stressing the importance of responsive and people-centric governance, Shri Gupta instructed officers to stay closely engaged with local communities and address grievances promptly at the grassroots level. He also praised the resilience and patience of the people of Ladakh, acknowledging their faith in the Administration and their collective commitment to peace and unity.
“The Administration remains fully committed to safeguarding the interests of every citizen, improving their quality of life, and ensuring that all sections of society benefit from the region’s development journey,” Gupta said.
Expressing confidence in Ladakh’s citizens for choosing the path of peace and cooperation, the Lt Governor reiterated that their sentiments and genuine concerns would continue to be addressed through transparency, continuous engagement, and participatory governance.
He called upon all sections of society to work together in strengthening peace, unity, and mutual trust for a brighter and more prosperous Ladakh.
Reaffirming that peace, development, and public welfare remain the core pillars of his Administration’s policy framework, Shri Kavinder Gupta said the government’s goal is to transform Ladakh into a resilient, inclusive, and self-sustaining region that sets an example for the rest of the country.
