GUWAHATI, Jan 13, 2025: In a thrilling encounter at the Women’s U-23 T20 Cricket Tournament held in Guwahati, Jharkhand emerged victorious, defeating Jammu & Kashmir by five wickets.
Batting first, Jammu & Kashmir posted a total of 99 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Bhavan Deep Kaur contributed 22 runs, while Rudrakshi added 32 runs to the score. Aditi Aryan remained unbeaten on 34 runs, helping to steady the innings. Jharkhand’s Khushboo and Neha Saw took one wicket each.
In response, Jharkhand chased down the target with ease, scoring 102 runs for the loss of five wickets in 19 overs. Shikha led the chase with an impressive 49 runs, including one six and six boundaries, while Vijeta supported with 31 runs, hitting four boundaries. Rudrakshi claimed two wickets for Jammu & Kashmir, while Parveen and Madhu picked up one wicket each.
Jharkhand’s clinical performance with both bat and ball sealed the win as they triumphed by five wickets.
