The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir as part of its crackdown on the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror network. At least ten locations in Jammu, including Bathindi, are being searched in connection with a case related to the infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan.
The raids are linked to case RC-04/2024/NIA/JMU, registered on October 24, 2024, after intelligence reports confirmed the infiltration of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and JeM terrorists into Indian territory through the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC). Investigators have found that overground workers (OGWs) and terror associates in villages across Jammu were actively facilitating these infiltrations by providing shelter, funds, and logistical support.
The operation marks another aggressive move by the NIA against terror networks operating in the region. Security forces remain on high alert as searches continue, with further developments awaited.
