Jammu, Sept 6: Security forces launched a search operation in Samba district after spotting a suspected Pakistani drone flying over vital military installations, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Drone Spotted Over Army Garrison
The drone was seen at 9:35 PM on Friday, flying at an altitude of over 700 metres. It moved from west to east over a military garrison in the Bari Brahmana area.
Army, Police Respond Swiftly
The Army’s quick reaction teams were activated as soon as the drone was detected. The police were also informed, and both forces launched a joint search operation.
Security personnel are checking the area to rule out any airdropping of weapons or narcotics, officials said.
