TTP Claims 13 Attacks Across Pakistan in a Single Day, Targets Security Forces in Seven Regions

KPK, Oct 27: The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for 13 attacks carried out on October 27, 2025 (5 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH), targeting Pakistani security forces across multiple provinces, including South Waziristan, Chitral, Peshawar, Bajaur, Tank, Khyber, and Bannu.

According to a detailed statement released by the group, the attacks focused primarily on military and paramilitary posts, convoys, and checkpoints.

In South Waziristan, three separate attacks were reported. Militants claimed to have targeted an army bunker in Azam Warsak using machine gun fire, launched another assault on a post in Tora Gula, and detonated a roadside bomb on a motorcycle carrying soldiers in Zarmelina, reportedly killing two personnel.

In Chitral, the group claimed two sniper attacks on army posts in Darosh and Arnowi Khwar areas, allegedly killing two soldiers and injuring another, while also destroying a surveillance camera.

In Peshawar region, two ambushes were reported in the Sharikera Hassan Khel area, where militants said they targeted a military convoy and personnel near Chakkar Mela, leading to “possible casualties.”

In Bajaur, two incidents were claimed — one sniper attack in Loi Mamund killing a soldier, and another in Barah Banda where three personnel of the “Royal Indian Army” were allegedly killed.

The statement also mentioned that two Frontier Corps personnel — identified as Israr son of Ishaq from Kot Khadak and Mohammad Zohaib son of Mohammad Ayub from Akbari — had “quit service and vowed to earn an honest living,” a recurring propaganda theme used by the group.

In Khyber, a sniper attack in Tirah’s Bara area was reported to have killed one soldier.

Meanwhile, in Bannu, militants claimed to have ambushed a military convoy near Bakkakhel Mandi, suggesting “heavy human and material losses.”

The surge in attacks marks a continued escalation of militant operations under the group’s “Al-Khandaq” campaign, which has seen intensified assaults on security forces across Pakistan’s northwest.

Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on these latest claims.
