IDF Claims Over 70 Hezbollah Targets Hit in Southern Lebanon in 24 Hours
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday said it carried out a series of strikes against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, targeting more than 70 sites linked to the militant group over the past 24 hours.
According to the Israeli military, the strikes focused on Hezbollah infrastructure, including rocket launchers and buildings allegedly used by the group to plan and execute attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces.
The IDF said the operations are part of its ongoing campaign to neutralize threats posed by Hezbollah along Israel’s northern border and to enhance security for residents of northern Israel.
In a separate development, the Israeli military stated that several Hezbollah operatives were killed after being identified in areas where IDF troops are currently conducting operations in southern Lebanon. The military did not provide an exact number of casualties.
The latest strikes come amid continuing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where cross-border exchanges of fire and military operations have intensified in recent months. Hezbollah has not immediately commented on the Israeli claims.
The situation remains volatile, with concerns growing over the potential for a broader escalation in the region.
